Good Shepherd Block Party

Wednesday, September 19th, 2007

As you may (or may not) have known, I’ve been helping plan the Good Shepherd Block Party for the last few months. This is one of two annual fundraisers for the Good Shepherd Center, which is the main homeless ministry here in Wilmington. The block party will be this Saturday from 7-10PM at the Mayfaire Town Center in Wilmington.

I’m sending you this email to invite you to come and enjoy a casual dinner and live auction. The live auction will have lots of items ranging in price from the $100s to $1,000s so there’s something for everyone. I’m especially proud of the playhouse that Keller Williams Realty has constructed for the auction.

All the proceeds will go to benefit the Good Shepherd Center. Tickets are $50/person. If you’d like to order tickets, you have three options:

1) Call Suesan Sullivan at 910.763.4424 Ext. 113
2) Send an email to CB(at)FineCoastalLiving.com
3) Visit the website at GoodShepherdBlockParty.com

I really hope you’ll be able to join me for an awesome evening that will support the Good Shepherd Center!

Bon Bons and Beyond

Tuesday, August 28th, 2007

Last night, The Fine Coastal Living Team and friends ventured The Maison Rose at 822 Orange Street (aka South n’ France) to experience the new Crepes and Grapes Party offered by nationally acclaimed/locally located Bon Bon experts Charlene Dupray and Pascal Siegler.

This husband and wife team has created a buzz making award-winning Bon Bons and throwing Champagne and Bon Bon parties at which you learn the art of cooking and eating the chocolate hand-dipped treats. South n’ France customers enjoyed the Bon Bon parties so much, they asked for more… and this is how Crepes and Grapes came to be.

Custom Scenic Charters

Friday, March 23rd, 2007

I had the opportunity Friday to cruise up the Cape Fear River on the Lorelei during sunset. Too often I take for granted this beautiful port city. I mean, Relocate-America didn’t rank Wilmington a “best place to live” for nothing! On this most recent charter, the crew spotted a bald eagle. It was truly awesome. And I can’t rave enough about the o’devours provided. Captain Doug Springer and his wife Diane outdid themselves with homemade crab dip, bruschetta, baked clams, and more. Visit ncfexploration.com or call 910-602-3862 to book your own cruise. If you’re considering a morning charter, mention Fine Coastal Living to receive $10 off!
